Our school caters for students from Foundation to Grade 6 and is situated north of Ballarat’s central business district. It has the advantage of being large enough to have an excellent range of facilities but small enough to promote a close bond between students and teachers.
The current building is the original building from 1877, the walls can tell stories about the evolution of education from the past to the present.
Outdoors
The outdoor environment is spacious with a wide range of playground equipment to suit children of all age levels. Including:
- Two large playgrounds
- Cubby house
- A synthetic futsal and netball court located on one third of our school oval
- A synthetic basketball court featuring mega slam basketball hoops
- Undercover synthetic multi sports play area that includes four square, target throw, snakes and ladders and chess
- A large shade covered sandpit

Indoors
Inside our school, five classrooms are set within a spacious and welcoming environment. Large windows fill each room with natural light, creating bright and engaging learning spaces. The generous classroom sizes allow for clearly defined areas that support both individual learning and collaborative group work.
While we prioritise high quality teaching practices over reliance on technology, students still have access to digital tools when they meaningfully support learning. Technology is not a feature of everyday instruction; however, each classroom is equipped with a SMART Board and computers and iPads are available for use when appropriate.
Our library features an open plan design and is well stocked with a wide range of books and resources to support students’ learning journeys. We are also well equipped with specialist learning spaces, including innovative classrooms for Science and AUSLAN, designed to enrich and support student learning experiences.
