ANZAC Ceremony

On Friday 23rd April, the Grade 6 students conducted our Annual ANZAC Ceremony. This ceremony is run in conjunction with/on behalf of the 2/8th AIF Battalion Association.

The Grade 6’s gave a rundown of the events of the Gallipoli landing, the hardship that the Australian and New Zealand soldiers came up against, and dedication and resolve shown by many Australian men and women during this time. We also learned about the sacrifice made by those asso-ciated with the 2/8th Battalion during World War II.

As ANZAC Day approaches this Sunday, take the time to reflect upon the sacrifice that countless Australians — both past and present — have made on behalf of their nation in wars, conflicts and peace-keeping operations.
